Let me share with you first an account of the most tragic accident that happened in me, and yet, I SURVIVE IT......as my friends often say... with real Honors....
It took me a while to write about my unforgettable experiences of having caught in a very morbid accident that happened in 1990… I attempted to write about it before…but maybe its not really the right time then to open up and share how I cope with that accident which almost cost my life and which almost make me a burden for my love ones for the rest of my life.
It was a few minutes past five when we finished our midterm exam …… carrying my books, bag and leftover foods…. Can’t part with my foods..coz I love to eat…we crossed the highway opposite the university compound.
We are three girls, heidi, tess and myself waiting for a ride. I was contemplating to either take a bus or ride a jeepney then….as I walk towards the jeepney….I heard a loud thud as if a big mirror was crushed into my whole body…..I fell towards the jeepney with two legs shuttered and one shoe left…..almost cut off the lwer part of my left leg, with only about 1/2 inch of my skin and flesh connected to the main leg...... huh....what a sight ..and I am still standing only to realize later that its the broken tibia that supports my body and not my feet. .... i pulled my two broken legs up to se its plae yellow...and somebody help me towards the jeepney ...I even talked to th driver to bring me tohart center thinking it is th nearest with good facilities... my two friends were in shock and was not able to accompany me to the hospital...a good guy talked to me while going to the hospital... upon seeing my leg... my first reaction was to think that anyway its only a matter of time ... that time the famous prediction of Nostradamus that world will end in 1993 is so popular then...so that helped me accept it for the time being.......to be continued ( update will surely be at least 3 times a week.)
